In Response to Rural People Having Square Jaws and What Type of Beauty is Aspired to Internationally

Plastic Surgery Simulator

Actually, much of what our Danish guest sees in non American movies is not too far from reality in those countries. In countries like Iran, Mexico, and especially, in India, for example people from the upper class tend to look lighter skinned, and have higher rates of colored eyes and lighter hair, and they also tend to be taller and more skeletally developed than those living in rural areas.

Actually, Iran is not the best example here because in some northern villages some people are almost entirely blue or green eyed with sandy brown or brown hair rather than brown eyed and with black hair. Upper class people vary in terms of how they look and most are almost entirely well groomed.

There is another issue also. People from the upper class have access to things that enable them to improve on their looks: the money, the knowledge, and of course, the time and the incentive. For a rural person in a non Western country, looking like a world reknown European or American actress is just not a concern.

In Iran, for example, many young people have taken a liking to American movies and most women are attempting to achieve the look of Angelina Jolie or some other successful Hollywood actress such as Nicole Kidman. Angelina's sharp thin eyebrows, the small chiseled nose, high cheekbones, and thick lips are very popular. Plastic surgery is on the high rise for anyone who enters the capital city and can manage somehow to afford it. Iranian actresses vary quite a bit in how they look. Mahtab Keramati has white skin and grayish eyes. Mahnaz Afshar has brown eyes and brown hair and her skin is often what I call a medium white and she is often tanned. Her face is notably round and she is one of the few Iranian actresses who has not had a rhinoplasty and has still managed to be attractive by virtue of having a very expressive face. Niki Karimi has green eyes and in some movies she is darkened and in some others she is lighter depending on the role she has to play. Her face has an East Asian look to it in my opinion. It is the shape of her eyes and the way her eyelids look. Golshifte Farahani and her sister Shaghayegh Farahani are both olive skinned with dark brown eyes, black hair, and have very large eyebrows. Mitra Hajjar also falls in the category of dark hair, dark eyes, and olive skin and in some movies she wears green or gray contacts depending on the role she plays and has noticeably large eyebrows.

As for rural people having square jaw, I can say that I am not a visitor to Denmark nor to a Latin American country, and haven't been able to compare the differences firsthand. In Spanish soap operas, I have noticed though that the men and women do not resemble the Latin American actors/actresses in the United States also. Just an inside scoop about Salma Hayek: she is half Lebanese but seems to identify with her Latin American side more.

Up to date, there are 5 women who have been recognized as the most beautiful women in the world. Notably, they are neither entirely European, nor East Asian, nor African in ancestry.

Latin America: Adriana Lima

United States: Angelina Jolie

Lebanon/an Arab Country: Haifa Wehbe

Iran: Claudia Lynx also known as Shaghayegh in the Iranian community
http://www.rozanehmagazine.com/MayJune05/Shaghayegh%20Iranian%20Artist%2...

India: Aishwarya Rai
http://www.flickr.com/photos/39527119@N00/64486036/

I personally concluded that the international formula for a beautiful face is as follows by looking at pictures of these women:

1) long dark hair (from black to dark brown)
2) skin color that is neither pale white nor very dark (beige white to caramel or ligth olive)
3) dark arched eyebrows that compliment the shap of the top eyelid
4) catlike green eyes (ranging between hazel and light green)
5) well formed cheekbones or prominent cheeks on the top part of the face
6) small nose, not noticeably large, even mildly drooping or hooked as in the case of Aishwarya Rai and claudia Lynx is not bad
7) full lips (all five have noticeably full lips that are proportional to the face) though I believe that Angelina Jolie's and Adriana Lima's may look better if it were slightly thinner, while Claudia, Haifa's, and Aishwarya's lips are ideal.

The type of look that these women have is very international. They resemble a nice mixture of European, Semetic, and in some cases Asian or Native American ancestry. I think that people, many Westerners particularly, aspire to this a lot. Of course, honestly, I don't ever think a black woman who doesn't have carmel skin with light brown to hazel/green eyes and is not tall and thin such as Tyra Banks will ever be on the ranks of the most beautiful women in the world and neither will an East Asian woman or Latin American who doesn't appear to be mixed with some European. Interestingly though, someone like Nicole Kidman who is entirely Northern European is also unlikely to be identified as the most beautiful woman in the world.

Angelina Jolie is the only one among these 5 that has a square jaw and Haifa Wehbe's jaw is also very angled and well formed. Aishwarya Rai, Claudia Lynx, and Adriana Lima are not what this site would term as square jawed, but their jawlines are very well formed and beautiful angled.

The most beautiful and most natural of them all in my opinion are Angelina Jolie and Aishwarya Rai. Aishwarya Rai has had no surgeries at all. Claudia Lynx is 3rd and appears to have at least had a nose job and a breast job recently if not other things and Haifa Wehbe 4th because she has had some noticeable surgeries, and 5th, in my opinion, is Adriana Lima. I only like Adriana's hair and skin and eye color. I am not a fan of the entire face and her smile and look is very cold to me. Her eyebrows are flat too.

Anyways here is my analysis. I hope that it was helpful and introduces a new perspective

Hi there, I'm the half

Hi there, I'm the half dennish-far east asian guy. I living in south east asia, let say "thailand"
most of the time commercial here, you will find only the delicate white skin women with narrow face posed as the same ideal what erik's site find it pretty ( but here actresses tend to be petite and very slim to skinny, young face and doll-like, doll-like cloth. )
I'd like to suggest u to find out the Mexican drama name "Alondra" ,"Marimar" another one "Cuando seas mia" or "Luscarita" the actresses on those drama are look really like a north european girls. especially the one who played on "Alondra" I do not sure now how is she look like? but on that drama she looks beauty, soft face, doll-like. that time I was only 14 years old and I find her face looks beautifull very much, even untill now I do not find any women are prettier than her.
my girlfriend did post the example pictures in erik websit. so I will put some of the example here too.

Example :

The upper pictures are the Mexican actresses in Mexico. (the first one is the girl I mentioned, she's the actress from drama "Alondra")
and the beneath pictures are the Mexican actresses in U.S.A

This one, the upper pictures are far east asian actresses in asia countries.
and the beneath pictures are the far east asian girls from rural.

and This one, the upper role are the Indian actresses in India. and beneath role are also Indian actresses. but as I watched their flims. I find bollywood like to take native looking Indian actresses as main characters on the flim, and the european looking Indian actresses played as the unimportant characters around, such as father, mother and friends, played with Indian with blue eyes and white skin but the actress is poses as dark skin and large jaw. but some european-looking Indian actresses could be play also as main actresses on a few flim. if you'd like to see the Indian actresses whom look really european. let watch "shakalaka doom doom" both actresses on the flim look very westerner, one is quite like natalie Gelbova ( the miss Russian universe who has very soft face and princess look), and another actress in this flim is petit, blue eyes and pink cheeks.

About Aishwarya rai, if you wanted to see she looked westerner. let's watch "Umraojaan" or Hum dil de chuke saanam" , "Devdas" and if you wanted to see some Indian actress looks like Winona ryders, let watch "Vivah".

As I'm working about art by pc. those flims and dramas are excellent and megnificent. not only have pretty actresses but also scenes and story are very delicate more than american movies

Indian

Oh, How can I post the

Oh, How can I post the picture? it seem dosen't work here

Hi. It is interesting to

Hi. It is interesting to see the different perspectives. Whoever divided the actresses as the feminine and the unfeminine obviously did not find the square jaw and the darker features feminine in comparison to the lighter complexion and the regressed jaw.

Among the Latin section, I actually have to admit that I found Salma hayek the most beautiful, not just on account of the well formed jaw, but the other features as well including the eyes, the nose, and the cheekbones, plus the gorgeous black hair. Also as I said Salma Hayek is half Lebanese, not full Latina. The ones labeled feminine were beautiful, probably better than average, but more plain to me. I am not a fan of Jennifer Lopez, however, and never was. I don't like her nose or her eyes very much nor her acting for that matter. She has played similar roles in two movies which annoyed me : Maid in Manhantan and Monster in Law

In the Asian section, I can see the difference between the 2 unknown women and the Asian women labeled as feminine. However, I don't think these are Asian women from the same country and so therefore this is very misleading. The ones labeled feminine look more Japanese and maybe from parts of China were people are lighter and so the comparisons really have no basis. I actually do find their faces quite cute though, very delciate and dollish as you say and they appear to have nice nose bridges and larger eyes than is usual in East Asian countries. However, the first woman labeled unfeminine is an actress named Tia Carrerre and she is 41 years old right now. The Asian women labeled feminine appear to be in their late teens or twenties also their pictures are somewhat airbrushed too. Candid shots don't really do people justice either.

Here is a picture of Tia Carrere as a younger woman without wrinkles:

http://artfiles.art.com/images/-/Tia-Carrere-Photograph-C10040298.jpeg

She was quite femiine and had very delicate features.

The Indian section seems to reflect the same thing as the first but it is skewed because all of the pictures of the actresses appear to be airbrushed including Aishwarya Rai's, but in my opinion, all of them are beautiful.

I used to be a fan of Indian movies when I watched Asoka and Mission Kashmir, but found every other Indian film I watched after that to be silly. I saw one movie though that I liked: Namesake...it was filmed in the United States and might be considered and American movie, but I found it to be the most meaningful movie I have seen lately in which Indian actors are starring. Bollywood is more of a child's fantasy with all of the singing and dancing and glitter and glamour, not a reflection of reality or something that people can relate too and learn from significantly.

Furthermore upon closer look

Furthermore upon closer look at the Indian section: the only picture that is not airbrushed is that of the first woman labeled unfeminine who is Priyanka Chopra Miss world 2000 and about the other 2 women labeled feminine, I have some questions. Are you sure the one in the middle is Indian? Her style doesn't even appear Indian. Is she full Indian? Who is the 3rd one, the red haired one labeled feminine? What is her name? I do love her eyes and face.

The 2nd one labeled feminine: I don't find her beatiful. I find the ones labeled unfemiine far more beautiful than her. They have very expressive faces and their dark eyes have a certain glimmer or life to them as well as their rounded cheeks and full lips.

Above all, I still think Aishwarya Rai has a beauty that is very international and welcoming, but in the picture in which she is labled feminine the lighting and airbrushing make her look much whiter and light eyed and light haired than she is. She has brown hair and green eyes and her skin is what I would call a golden olive, which is evident in candid shots.

Thanks for sharing these with me by the way, but they are not appropriate comparisons really and they simply give one a chance to examine how deceptive photography can be.

Here is another

Here is another Indian-British production, Namaste London, that I saw lately which I did not like, but the main actress Katrina Kaif is gorgeous:

Hi there, about the latin

Hi there, about the latin section. the first feminine latin is the actress from drama " Alondra" that I mentioned she is very nordic look especially on the flim she appeared to has even more werak jaw than Kate wilslet from Titanic. her shape face is very much like Malilyn Monroe in "The prince and showgirl"
the style of drama is the same soup opera fantasy just like Indian movie.

About the Indian section, the second feminine Indian girl is the girl from Miss India 2007 comtest which I already forget her name. but she dosen't win the contest and I dubt that she looks too westerner. but I will search her profile for you more when I have a time.

about the third girl in feminine Indian section. she's name Celina Jaitley. I do not know the picture on internet how she looks like? as I guess the photographer tend to promote the actresses and model in sexy tanned skin tone but on the flim "Shakalaka Boom Boom" she looks like western female very much. with the real gray-blue eyes, that some Indian girl ( friend) that I know told me Celina Jailey got the original light blue eyes and she was born in kabul, afghanistan.

This is some of her example picture that I find how she look is close to what I seen her on the flims.

About the Iranian I find

About the Iranian I find Hehdi tehrani and shabnum tului are nice. they looked quite like the original Iranian women with beautifull eyes, pale skin and oval face. but I also do not disagree that Claudia Lynx is pretty. but she looks quite like mulatta for me. btu the most I do not notice women only with their jawline. before I have visited this site I wasn't know anything about "what's square jaw or high cheeksbone either" I only looked at people face and accept it automatically this one is pretty, this one not. but since I have staying in thailand (where now fashion is still based on culture and class.
in every commercial you'll never find square jaw or tanned skin on it. anywhere you go, university or mall the women tend to look the same way that is skinny, very white skin with pink cheeks, and people find that as pretty. as the pictures I showed you of the capital girl posed as white skin, long nose and narrow face awhile the bar girl (who always from rural has square jaw and board face)

I got also a picture of dessert Indian girl with undeveloped jaw and fine nose here.

And the last one is a cateloge of Indian actresses and pakistani

About the uropean- looking latin actress in first picture of feminine women I posted. I did find some of her short serie in youtube even the flim isn't nice quality much but I sure you will see she is very beautifull weak jaw woman that I find her chin is quite like of marillyn monroe or Vivien leigh.
( peronsally I find she looks beautifull but nothing special in the beauty she has)
