Behind the square jaw look, the beauty and health equation

<< BACK TO THE PREVIOUS PAGE
It is my goal on this site to analyze female beauty, and to defend the idea that square jawed females are of a superior class of beauty than other females, and that this attribute is not always correlated to masculinity / femininity but rather to proper / optimum orthodontic development.

High level of testosterone, growth hormone will make the jaw look squarer, BUT correct structural orthodontic development will induce a square jaw look, an horizontal growth, independently from sex genre. Androgenic induced square jaw characteristics are different than those induced by proper orthodontic development.

Thus, it is my analysis that the most beautiful females have the square jaw look. A square jaw look in female, being still very different than a typicall square jaw in males, notably in the chin area (very androgenic shaped zone).

Horizontal Growth

Horizontal growth is when the jaw grows "horizontally"; when the jaw plane seems parallel to the floor. Jarah is a perfect example:

Here is structurally what happens:

On the left you have the face of an horizontal grower.
On the right, you have the face of an ugly vertical grower. Do you know why a same person often has big nose, thin face and receding + double chin ? It is because he is a vertical grower.

You will find plenty of people around you that exhibit both patterns.
Horizontal growth is the result of better orthodontic development, resulting in a more beautiful appearance. "Healthy" is often synonym of "beauty".

This is another reason why I think, square jawed people are better developed, and more beautiful. In the case of this site i'm interested in women, not men but this proves that structural square jaw has nothing to do with femininity or masculinity. Horizontal growers = better breath, better spinal posture, no double chin.....

Typical vertical grower face. Now compare with the face of Jarah above. Beauty equation should jump out of the screen.
It is shocking to realize how poor jaw growth is associated with typical ugliness pattern: weak chin, double chin, prominent nose, thin face, bad spinal posture, crowded teeth......

Again, not ALL square jawed women are beautiful, but well developed square jaw is a health -> beauty attribute that will influence many other aspects of a person's appearance.

I think so square jaw is the

I think so square jaw is the most beautifull and and healthiness looking. I like square jaw women as much as average and small jaw women but non jaw at al I find it made face looks like a rat and funny.

If the woman is good

If the woman is good looking, the well-built jaw gives them that boldness and power that they lack without it (compared to the other gender). At the same time it absolutely does not detract from their femininity, in fact it enhances it by emboldening it. Excepting the jaw, there's not enough parts of the female body which enhance femininity in an empowering way. It's one avenue where femininity and strength emerge as one, and compliment each other.

Many people would say (and rightly so) that there are plenty of parts of the female body that are attractive. There are. But what I am saying is, do they show strength and power? In my opinion, they don't . I don't find masculine legs, arms and torsos to be exhibiting feminine strength or prowess. They look like I do after a few months of gym workouts. And I do not find breasts empowering on a woman - they are nurturing and kind of calming as well as delicate. So the one feature that can give women a physical kind of strength is the jaw in my humble opinion.

Very interesting, I am a

Very interesting, I am a man, 16 years old, and I have a good devolpement of my jaw, but its not perfect as the horizontal grower picture, and its also not wide, but its not narrow too, its kind of half term.

I have just turned 16, by your experience do you think, do you think is there any chance of my jaw getting wider and more square looking ? Is there anything I can do to achieve that ?

Thanks

Well I can tell you what can

Well I can tell you what can do so you will not get it narrower and smaller. Have yo had braces or do you need them? Do you have a gummy smile?
First tell me this things, then I'll tell you why I am asking.

I am using braces right now,

I am using braces right now, I started to use it 2 years ago and I will take it off in about 3 months, I have been using it to correct a mislined teeth, what do you men by gummy smile ?

And why would my jaw get smaller ?

thanks

You have made a really big

You have made a really big mistake, one that I also have made because for the time I had mine I did not knew the information I know now.

Write me to my e-mail and I will tell you: camilo_azulsereno@yahoo.com
There is a lot of information I need to send you so you will understand why you should not have had braces and instead a palatal expander. The expander would have made your jaw wider.
Many orthodontist are doing the wrong procedures. I have met a good orthodontist who told me I got the wrong procedure and now I am having problems with my jaw. Braces move jaw bone. Well I'll tell you everything when you write me.

Tell me another thing, did your ortho extracted any teeth?

no he didn't I did have a

no he didn't I did have a palatal expander a while ago.

Thanks, for the good

Thanks, for the good articles ...I am very intiresting..

I don't think that you are

I don't think that you are correct. Just because someone's jaw isn't square it doesn't mean that their orthodontic development is bad. Check out the x-ray in this article: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32911824

The woman does not have a square jaw and you can clearly see in the x-ray her orthodontic development is good.

I'm not trying to demean square jawed women because I think they are very beautiful, but that does not mean that "vertical growers" are ugly either. :)

Hi, I don't think that ALL

Hi,
I don't think that ALL vertical growers have orthodontic problems...... but in some cases, the vertical faces and some deformities ARE caused by improper orthodontic development, as in the examples above, while proper square face is favored by proper orthodontic development.
In all cases the horizontal grower / square face is mechanically better than horizontal grower.

Hi, I am a 14 year old male.

Hi, I am a 14 year old male. I know this website is dedicated to the jaw development in women, but I was rather curious of whether the growth of my jaw can still change, or be encouraged to grow horizontally by some means. I would thoroughly appreciate any advise you could give me. Right now my jaw seams to be alright, it is not quite vertical but if would prefer if it was even more horizontal. My dental status is very good. All my teeth are straight without the aid of braces or some other orthodontic attention. Furthermore, I have not lost all of my teeth and still do not have my twelve year molars. Dental x-rays say that they are all there, just taking their time actually coming through. I know it sounds ridiculous, but how is it that so many celebrity icons have stunning jaws? Is there something that they do or did? Please reply. Thank you.

You are doing fine. The best

You are doing fine. The best way to keep developing horizontally is breathing through your nose. Don't breath through your mouth.

I am a 15 year old girl and I used to have a square jaw but I have had braces for 2 years now and they have made me use elastics to bring my bottom jaw forward because I had an over bite.
Ever since then my jaw has not been square and I don't like the look of it. :(
I will be getting my braces off in a few months, so I don't think there is anything I can do now.
I used to look much better before the braces (apart from the crooked teeth)
