I'ma 17 year old girl with very good bone structure. I was just curious as to why for as long as I have had crushes, I was always attracted to the narrow face boy and the narrower at times, the cuter for me. I just think that maybe subconciously I want to mate with someone that will "balance" out my strong features, or could it be that I really still haven't moved on from the insecurity of pretty much being the only girl with the square face in classes and being the only one out of any one I knew (beside the poor kids) that didn't need braces ( to be honest with you, I would beg my dentist to tell me I needed them, so I wouldn't feel so differetn)
I've had many boyfriends, and they all had long faces, had nasal voices, and one had a curvature of the back (actually he is the one I loved the most) I mean maybe I'm not a shallow person, but I keep thinking, if it was normal. Because everyone around me says I could do better and what did I see in them? etc etc
But to me they were gorgeous! I actually catch myself admiring their delicate face and body and envying their narrow smiles. Actually, when I was set up with a "pretty boy" I didn't feel any attraction at all, in fact I thought he was boring. And I couldn't understnad what was so special and why people thoguht he was handsome.
Can anyone relate?? Could it be opposites attract??
But thank you for this website. Now I don't feel the need to put bronzer around my face and wear my hair like curtains everyday. I hope that every girl that feels insecure about having good structure finds this. I would have probably asked my parents to give me face shaving plastic surgery for graduation if it wasn't for you guys!!
I have known some square
I have known some square jawed women I have had crushes on, and my dad could not see what I saw in them. On the other hand, my dad would try to suggest some girls I had no attraction to at all, but I think they didn't have that jaw shape I like. He's never understood my attraction to that jaw shape.

Hi and welcome to the site.
On the site's introduction, I wrote: "Some men are very attracted by women with large, square, well defined jaw. There is no absolute explanation for this, but our studies suggest that strong jaw denotes a particular genetic, immune pattern that some men are actively looking for subconsciously. These men may have a deficiency in this particular pattern that tend to sensitize them to women that exhibit this particular trait. This could give the offspring a more balanced genetic pool."
I believe physical attraction is exremely tied to genetic balancing, and I was waiting for such a message as yours when I initially created the site.
I'm not surprised to read a strong facial girl being attracted by more delicate structures in boys.
I would be curious to see a picture of your face, would you mind sending it to contact@womenlargejaw.com ?
Cordially,
Ron

I'm 22 and I could've written this... I never needed braces and I have tended to attract men with narrow faces.
One man with a square jaw whom I find very attractive is Chris Carrabba: http://i.realone.com/assets/rn/img/7/0/4/2/9512407-9512410-slarge.jpg
