It's so true...at least in every day life, most men go for women with these narrow, delicate jaws, and if not heart-shaped faces, triangle-shaped faces, or at least oval faces, but not square faces and wide jaws.
I think a squared face or squared jaw is so directly and incorrectly linked to masculinity to the point that simply the idea of a woman having a squared face or jaw alone is stigmatizing without any particular attention given to any particular woman who possess those features. In reality, it has been demonstrated that there are many feminine faces that are in fact squared while many masculine faces are not. It is just the idea attached to having a firm jaw line that it is masculine and therefore not attractive on a woman, not really a fact.
I do think some women's jaws are tpo large and look masculine, but generally, these women are somehow masculine all over not just by virtue of their jaw.
Look at Audrey Hepburn as just one example of a feminine square jawed woman; an extremely delicate, feminine woman with a 22 inch waist and her jaw was squared.
A square jaw is not a common feature in men or women and that is why among women, there aren't very many square jawed examples period.
As for women who are feminine and don't have squared jaws, their femininity cannot be accredited to simply having a "non-square jaw." They are feminine overall.
I have talked to many men about what they find attractive in a woman's face and many seem more sensitive on the internal features and overall harmony than jaw or overall facial bone structure, while subconsciously a woman's facial bone structure can increase or decrease her attractiveness in the eyes of the viewer.
I, myself, am not attracted to men who are feminine at all, but, none of the masculine men I have been attracted to had squared jaws. They were all tall and had deep voices and big hands and were mostly athletic. Also, I don't even like a square jaw on a man because they tend to be too wide and make the face look awkward.
I am just happy to be one of the square jawed women considered attractive.
You got the point Persian, squareness of the jaw isn't masculine in itself, and your overall body observation is correct.
This is why wrote the article about square jaw and masculinity : http://www.womenlargejaw.com/square-jaw-is-not-masculine . The point is, a man's jaw is different than a woman's, but difference isn't found in squareness degree, despite popular belief.
